GDQ is a for profit service provider.
They DO NOT organize the event to have donations then go to the org.
They get hired and payed to create the event in order to raise funds/donations for the org.
So while the money goes directly to charity, a huge chunk goes straight back to GDQ to pay themselves, staff etc.
They also pocket all the direct sponsor money and Twitch subs and merch sales.
They refuse to disclose their earnings and spendings and basically say "trust us we need it and don't make much profit off of this, but no you can't see".
They also refuse to go non profit.
