In the age of hypersonics, aircraft carriers are as useful as a bayonet charge. Their ONLY utility is a mobile aircraft platform. ONE hit on the flightdeck/catapult/ramp takes away 100% of the utility, leaving only liabiliies.
Not even mobility kill, just a cratered flight deck. If there are planes airborne and don't have fuel to land on a friendly airbase, that could get kind of expensive.
How many hypersonics would you have to launch assuming a 10% probability of a hit to take out a carrier with 99% certainty?

China and India together can't afford building 10 nuclear powered carriers between themselves. Hell they couldn't get that much with diesel powered ones.
