Not a training story. Disclaimer: details may have been mangled in retelling
>be my squad leader
>gigantic samoan dude, we'll call him T
>in Iraq a million years ago
>get told to clear a building with a fenced in backyard
>reports of sketchy dudes kidnapping people and keeping them there or some shit
>platoon moves up, cordons area, has a squad stack on the door and get ready to clear
>T is first in the stack on the door
>breach man knocks it open
>all 250lbs of 6'2" Samoan goes right through the entryway
>feels a click on his boots but nothing happens
>squad clears the building
>finds a light
>turns it on
>pressure plates and wires fucking everywhere
>T stepped on like 6 of them on his way in
>brief brick shitting moment before everyone realizes whatever they were wired to didn't go off
>follow all the connecting wires and shit out the back door
>it all leads to a bigass truck trailer covered in a tarp
>T comes up and peels the tarp back a little
>absolutely fucking stacked full of 155mm rounds and barrels of shit
>hfw
>entire platoon likely only escaped getting vaporized because the wire connection to the charges got chewed by rats or some shit
