i just wear them with either black sneakers you won't see the indigo dye runoff on. or i wear them with white sneakers that i think will look cool if they get indigo dye all over them.
a few rainy days and a wash, then they're usually done bleeding.
i do have to avoid wearing them at first with one of my car interiors. be aware of that if you have light or grey color furniture.

the older i get the wider i like it to be. 8.5" is my minimum now days and some of my pants go to like 11-12".
