I know we casually toss meme phrases around like "walking simulator" to cheekily describe games with actual gameplay, but SM is a literal walking/cell phone touching simulator. It's 100% narrative focused wagglebait intended to capture a wider audience that has no business playing a SH game - the same dumb shit Konami is still doing to this day. And le epic psychiatry session scenes, while admittedly a more interesting concept, are pointless fluff that only exists to keep the player engaged beyond the shitty retcon filled story by getting them to talk about themselves. This of course also has no impact because it all serves as a revelation for the unsurprising twist that you're not answering questions as yourself but as Cheryl Mason.

I would rather play ANY western SH game again than SM. I'd rather play fucking Homecoming. The PC port.
