well I have to get into heavy spoilers for e33 but here it goes the plot twist that everything was just a painting and hence like a dream just left me feeling as if that all didn't matter. Gustave dying was in the end nothing and Maelle just is alright with it even though fake Verso let it happen on purpose. I even get on some meta level that we should feel like Maelle as in we grew close to everyone but it isn't real and you should move on from grief but is sadness enough to imply depth? The choices also become very obvious and the third act is just hollow. Metaphor made me care way more about the story and characters and stuck to that. It is a clearer straight forward story but sincere. It also leaves you with a way more positive feeling and outlook and characters aren't reduced to plot devices and sidelined. E33 wanks itself too much on french sadcore. You really can tell the writer was from reddit with his approach. I still enjoyed it but Metaphor was just better for me. and the men and women are way hotter in Metaphor. Only hot girl in e33 is Lune and the men are sad french sacks.
