If the game was perfectly balanced in all ways there would be no reason to play since you might as well flip a coin at the start of the match and one nexus blows up.
The issue is that Phreak is striving heavily towards such a reality and its totally amputating the idea of the game being "fun" in favor of some numerical holy grail that cannot be reached.
I dont care if Everfrost is "balanced" it was a shit item that felt great to play with but not against, and phreak was literally scratching his head over why players hated the item.
As much as i am for relative balance there's a "feeling" to the game that cannot, under any circumstances, be undermined or shoved aside in favor of some mystical 50% ratio.
Another Rioter mentioned new Lee Sin players have fun on Lee Sin despite losing, and that him having a 47% win rate MATTERS LESS than the sensation of playing a fun or interesting or engaging champ. Irelia is the foil, with the players angry at how complex she is despite obviously supposed to be a melee Lux of League because shes frustrating to new players.
It's fucked.

Unless the regular game is being canned for fagsports on purpose when it comes to balance. Which it is, I just don't know to the extent.
