Diomedes survives the war but Achilles doesn't because that is the tragedy of the epic, that Achilles could have left and survived but if he stays he is fated to die. Once again, you want this to be about who is the strongest dude who has the best FEATS because you are a brown person but that is not the point of the epic. When it comes to who is the strongest, the epic tells you at multiple points it is Achilles because it is Achilles, end of story.
