I think it's the fact that modern Western society has taken away from Westerner the ability to be with a young beautiful woman, whereas before older mature men were never shamed in your society for it.

Why wouldn't any man want to be younger if your country decides that you can "age out" of being attracted to beautiful young women? I am Cambodian and while we make joke about older men who chase young women we also know that it's completely normal and everyone who isn't gay who can do it, does it (unless they are like a really moral Buddhist person).
