Tbh I've seen quite a few Orihime fans on Twitter (mostly women, I assume) and they're fiercely defensive of her character and IH. Even when offered solid counterarguments about anything that can undermine either, they just resort to whataboutism, deflections or ignoring the argument entirely. The worst part to me is how they demean other ships like IR or UH, even with zero provocation, like when someone is just sharing cute fanart. It just feels extremely petty to me to viciously gloat like that when your own ship is canon and gets so much attention. Polar opposites of the heroine they idolize so much.
