Oh yeah, I was talking to an avid Mario friend of mine the other day and he told me something interesting about Odyssey's NDC, that the in-game explanation of NDC being overall vintage is that it was deliberately themed around an older setup as a throwback to older times, hence the apparent time discrepancies. He also mentioned that Odyssey's NDC still had modern elements scattered throughout.
This whole sequel theory seems to be purposely missing that point, but what do I know, I havent played Odyssey. Can somebody confirm?
