I also really like water ambience, not the rain the water specifically. It unlocks some kind of primordial comforting feeling (maybe because all life came from water..).
I read a really nice doujin yesterday, while it wasn't specifically dedicated to this style of y2k futurism the overall feeling (and artstyle and some stories in it) were exactly the kind of thing I like the most.
