The drafts for the characters prove that these people know how to draw and have a good sense of proportions.
Imho the issue is that the director is incompetent and uses bad motion capture actors. Or maybe the issue is that there are no good motion capture actors.
Also, there are way too many great comic book artists to think that there couldn't be someone who would do some character design for a videogame.

This is something that comes from the fact that they use bitches with botched facial surgeries. The Witcher 4 Ciri is basically that.
I wouldn't agree that everyone wants a jawlet with a pignose, but these people can't even find a woman with a proper nose and jawline to mocap their protagonist, instead of these botox injection freaks.
