I had a dream where after another Dark World in Chapter 5, things briefly seem to go back to normal, so Kris and Susie attend school for the first time since Chapter 2, just as Alphys introduces your Vessel as a new student, who pretends to be friendly but immediately smells (You) inside Kris. Then after Kris dumps the SOUL in the trash for the umpteenth time to do something offscreen, the Vessel finds it and absorbs it.

Then there was a whole menu where (you) could instruct the Vessel to spy on/befriend town NPCs to get information for you in your absence, change how it called you, and a whole bunch of other bells a whistles.
