God that's dumb. None of that really makes any sense and I highly doubt that was Ryuukishi's thought process back when he introduced her in early Umineko but he probably just retconned it to make Gou/Soutsu work. This is why it was better to merely imply a connection to Higurashi rather than try to make a whole story around it only for it to be stupid.
