Regardless of what you think of his work, he was completely correct here. There's a massive problem where horror isn't allowed to actually delve into horror topics and the excuse of "It's scarier when it's not shown." is often used to dismiss genuinely distressing content they don't like. This is on top of the constant moralizing on Twitter about said content.
