Some people are trying to save the maximum amount of money, and the big cities where those large AI companies exist are ridiculously overpriced, like, 80% of your wage to live in the asbestos-insulated attic.
Commuting is literally hell on earth, as you spend more than close to 3 hours in something that only Americans can enjoy due to their brandwashed interpretation of freedom.
There they have security, bathrooms, a cafeteria, and internet, and some companies even give free food if you are not fucking late.
