Not the same argument at all. Dave and Jay will likely be seen mostly as equals. Dave was on the air longer and had critical support while Jay had higher ratings but among a less-important, less sophisticated demographic. Nick Mullen and Sam Hyde are not even in the same "history book". Dave and Jay's is leather bound paper and those dudes are digitally recorded in history. The media landscape is so different it'd make a zoomer's head explode. Those dudes will NEVER have audiences like network TV. I'll bet you even though there may be dozens of fucking 'Fish Tank' threads in this corner of this sewer on the internet, I couldn't find a single adult in my entire town who knows what that "show" is.
And yet even if they may say "literally who?", I know for a fact the names Leno, Letterman, and Conan are all familiar to the average zoomer just through cultural osmosis.
