Some of you don't understand just how brutal bots were on release
>Rocket devs had pinpoint accuracy and rockets did more than just tickle you, they also had no cooldown on attacks and no reload
>machine gun devs could laser you down from 50 feet away, if you turned a corner into one you were just dead
>cannon turrets and tank turrets were nearly undodgeable, you'd have to run parallel to them and that only worked if you were a good 100 metres or more away
>every operation above 7 came with +50% cooldown and either -1 stratagem slot or +100% call in timer
>all orbitals were a joke, good luck bringing a 380 barrage and doing anything at all with it. Bring the railcannon and kill one hulk every five minutes kek
>500kg eagle radius was illegally small, 110s were inconsistent to the point of being unusable, clusters were surprisingly good but everyone only brought basic eagle strikes.
>all turrets were literal paper, dying to a handful of rockets, completely useless to set up crossfires. Also rocket sentry was just a worse AC sentry in every conceivable way
>spear was broken, quasar didn't exist, recoilless rifle needed pinpoint accuracy to slot a hulk through the face, needed to hit the vents on tanks and cannon turrets to kill them. Autocannon was goat if you weren't an aimlet
Every mission was just a variation of either shield and AMR or just AC and heavy explosive resist armour if you felt like a badass. Run the 500s exclusively to coinflip tanks and hulks and then the orbital laser because it was the only orbital that did anything. The only upside was none of those silent turrets that infinitely ragdoll you and no factory striders, but factory striders are nothingburgers regardless. To me it's still the most soulful time in HD2 history and I won't be proven wrong
