On a personal level no, On a practical level however, Even though the dude can single-handedly destroy battalion's, It's a lot of meaningless busywork that will get in the way of him protecting earth by a long shot, so it makes more sense for him to play ball to a degree. Besides Omega manged to capture him in 06 so it's not like him being defeated in battle is impossible.
