Drawing/painting is a skill you hone over months and years, while AI "art" is mostly instant gratification.
Not that artists aren't also menhera in their own right. Creative pursuits run on emotions, so it comes with the territory. At least they can say they have trained a skill and create things with their hands however. AI "artists" on the other hand, they don't really have anything to be smug about, yet they always seem incredibly bitter towards artists or just anyone who doesn't like the internet being flooded with fake images.
What I find strange is that I don't really see the same thing with chatbot people. People using chatbots or GPT for test answers or something tend to get shit on, yet no one gets upset. No one defends websites or articles being being written by AI. Is it just because it's harder to run locally (at a decent quality) or something
