After careful research (aka Twitter scrolling + coffee), I’ve concluded:
Leftism = based, libertarianism = LARP, Republicans = scared of rainbows.
Here’s the tea:
Leftists:
Believe queer and trans folks deserve rights, respect, and access to healthcare.
Support gender-affirming care, chosen families, and safe spaces (plus cute pride merch).
Fight for universal healthcare so nobody has to pick between hormones and rent.
Libertarians:
Throw around terms like “argumentation ethics” and “natural law” like they’re spells from D&D.
Say “total freedom of association” but conveniently ignore how that’s often just code for “let me discriminate against queer people.”
Claim the government shouldn’t interfere — unless it’s to protect a cake shop from baking a wedding cake for two guys.
Basically engaged in a full-on libertarian LARP: “I’m not homophobic, I just want to own my property and not serve gays.” Cool story, Chad. Explain how your ‘free market’ works when everyone can just shut us out. Is that really "freedom" to you??
Republicans:
More scared of drag queens than actual problems like climate change or healthcare.
Ban rainbow flags and trans healthcare like it’s a dystopian novel.
Still confused about what “gender identity” means but very sure it’s a threat to society.
Summary:
Leftism: Queer joy, hugs, healthcare, and a decent chance at happiness.
Libertarianism: Basement LARPers arguing about rights while ignoring how “freedom of association” gets used to discriminate.
Republicans: Freaking out about glitter and pronouns.

>not out to family
>not fully passing
>not even sure if HRT is doing what it's supposed to
>friends are online only
>dysphoria’s bad, dysmorphia worse
>still trying to figure out if I’m valid or just confused
>everyone else seems to have it figured out
idk. some days it feels like I’m getting somewhere, other days it feels like I’m just pretending and eventually the mask’s gonna fall off.
is this just what transitioning is like or am I actually delusional?
would appreciate some honesty or stories if anyone’s been through the same kinda fog.
