Surely you mean accatran combat shotgun because you need something to kill bosses with, right? It's not like the shield and maul needs anything else, you already destroy everything with it. Unyielding, maniacs, full bore, flechette on that one.

I use picrel. Could drop true grit, unleashed brutality, and rapid movement, but I like those. Would put those points in either ogryn damage or more toughness regen near the top. +25% ammo is also very useful. It's relatively flexible.
I don't think the bleed node is good at all. Voltaic mandibles and execution order are the only damage nodes the dog needs.

1-2 health (if you at all intend to run true grit, otherwise 0-1), rest toughness. Some swear by stamina, I don't think the class needs it.
Ability regen on all. The class has retarded amounts of toughness regen, gunner resist lets you just stand in gunner fire. +5% toughness is also good. Toughness regen speed is a bit of a meme stat, but can be useful when you're on your own with part of the squad. Block efficiency or stamina regen are both good. I'm not sure whether the class needs revive speed for any stagger breakpoints, and I'm not sure it matters.
