The AR market has really reached saturation. A good amount of this was the death of rumors driving meme guns (piston, 6.8spc, nickel boron, etc) slowing consumption and the just shear numbers pumped out due to two obummer terms. Everyone that wants a AR already has one, and AR manufacturers are losing money hand over fist because of it. All of the recent innovation has been in the typically stale sectors like optics and cans , now that everyone has a baseline rifle figured out.
