I don't know if this is the right place to ask
I bought a 12tb hard drive. Bought it new from a reputable seller. It's come dented like this.
It's for a NAS and will be one of the main drives rather than a backup. Will it work and I just get a partial refund for the damage or is it bad enough to where I just return it and get a new one?
I read online that these Seagate Ironwolf drives come with a 3 year warranty. I checked the warranty status, it claims it expires September 2028.
How does that work? I thought it might be a used drive and I got scammed, but how do I have more warranty than I actually should?
