no ck2 is for larping so you let your empire collapse by roleplaying as an inept ruler when his stats are bad or you change succession laws and split your empire that way or have imperial election and purposely lose the election to continue playing as a vassal of the npc emperor and break free from the empire etc etc etc there are many fun ways of gimping yourself
