You're probably right, but I'm not talking about less restrictions, but rather inconsistent guidance; both Evan and Ian have talked about this, especially in regards to working on IDW
and frankly, this has been a consistent problem with the franchise since its inception though this time Sega seems to have a shorter creative leash on IDW which no doubt has contributed to the comic's weaknesses
