last time i watched a video game essayist on youtube he said pic related was an impossible encounter because there are too many enemies and it forces you to run past everything.
These essay people are not that good at the games and they barely understand them. That one guy making essay posts about how malenia had new mechanics and its not fair also had no idea what he was talking about
#1 the mechanics he said were new have been in the games for like 15+ years
#2 even if it was true that it was new, a boss having a new mechanic in a game isnt even a bad thing

Fromsoft is very generous at giving you things to find when you explore. The memes about only finding crafting mats are basically game journalists and turbo noobs who dont actually play the game for much before they quit.
That church where you get the bell to summon has a merchant that sells you a bunch of very useful things including some notes that tell secrets about the area, like where to buy spells.
