Pic was also taken during a drought in the driest month of summer. If left pristine these creeks and springs almost never dry up. This is because the spring water is actually pumped uphill by underground osmotic and pressure processes from ground water. This is also how springs can occur at almost the very tops of mountains despite having very tiny basin areas.
