I think Weird route is playing the prophecy "straight" with raw strength and normal route is us trying to subvert the prophecy. As for what that means for the world at large it's too early to say. This could totally be a Mother 3 situation where the old world was already destroyed in the Roaring and the monsters live on the surface. I still dont fully comprehend what the Knight's goal is - why are they after Toriel?
