Yes, and they're not lying; Tokyo Clanpool had to be heavily censored just for an Asian release. Nintendo clearly has a major problem with Vita-style rubbing minigames. TC was not the only game that was censored this way last year.

They were in the pipeline since the beginning of this year when Eastasiasoft said they'd look into them. Still doesn't change the fact that they needed the Asian-English bullshit because they couldn't release normally, and still no guarantees they'll even release unaltered (although I'm expecting them to because they already went through the Asia/Japan approval process for the Japanese releases). And that's because they don't have the kind of content Tokyo Clanpool had. CERO B/C games vs a CERO D game. Significant difference there. One has content that Nintendo only takes issue with for western releases, the other has content that Nintendo hates now in general and won't allow in any region. Which also discounts the idea that they're doing this purely in reaction to the American political climate, or Tokyo Clanpool wouldn't have needed to be censored if it wasn't even going to release outside of Asia.
