it honestly doesn't matter bro. our estimation is that shell will buy it to kill the competition (we compete hard with them and definitely fuck with their margins, and buying us would give them a monopoly on a busy inner-city stretch) and they'll just staff it with jeets anyway. the jeets own their own fuel brands and we're in a prime location, so everyone wants to add us to their portfolio.
the saddest part will definitely be the loss of community. we're very tight with the local community and while i can't wait to leave to focus on my own career, it's nice to offer the kind of customer service i would wanna see (though it's really tiring lol).

it's really bad. we're honest people so give any worker the award rate - fucken $25+ for a console operator - and still they laze behind the console, on the phone all day and don't do anything extra like sweep up or lightly wipe down surface. if it wasn't for a couple of a young kids in the neighbourhood that dropped off their resumes i'd probably go insane lol.
wages are killing small business and it's insane to me the govt doesn't offer support in the form of tax breaks and such.
