Yeah but that isn't really out of the realm for comics like these to begin with and is far lighter than even the most egregious examples.
If characters started hard cursing, having on-panel sex, showing explicit gore, etc THAT would've gone too far but this is PG-13 at most.
Something like having the Beetleborgs kids show up only to be slaughtered would be edgy.
