This. The SR-71 had to accommodate for so much heat expansion that it's tanks didn't actually seal util it warmed up at operating speed and altitude. Supposedly they only had four minutes of fuel left after takeoff to hit the tanker or they had to scrub the mission and land or crash. It also supposedly got more fuel efficient the faster it went, up to a certain point where it couldn't survive the heat stress. Absolute marvel of human engineering. It was at least for the time one of the fist low observable aircraft in service. Supposedly the A-12 was actually even slightly faster than the eventual spy plane that was made out of the super high speed interceptor it was supposed to be.
