Realistically this is a very niche market, not a mainstream product. Manufacturers use prototypoes to measure demand and plan accordingly, based on that demand they can estimate final prices, and the investments that will go into molds , fixtures etc that are both pretty slow to manufacture and damn expensive, theres also the time allocation of the paint factories / sweatshops.

Its not the same to manufacture 1 shitty aluminium mold to create half a dozen of steel ones., and no one is willing to do the later without a good estimation or confirmation of actual demand.
