Did anyone else get the official Nekopara daki reprints from Booth? I find the print quality to be pretty mid and the fabric isn't great either. It has a kind of "velvety" soft texture that holds in a lot of heat and doesn't feel too durable. I did use it for a week though and it was very soft and pleasant to snuggle with. But I'd say the overall daki quality is a bit below Cuddly Octopus standards, except for the Sayori art which is worth the price alone.

Anyone got the original runs of the Nekopara dakis? I imagine those were better quality

Yes normally you should cut and shave until the nubs are small enough to comfortably sand down. It's always the same with these things, you want to minimalize the sanding needed, and you always go from coarse grain (low grit) to fine grain (high grit).
For plastic modeling though, with a very steady hand sometimes you can even cleanly shave the nubs away with a good hobby knife without having to sand (and thus keep micro scratches that discolors the plastics to the minimum), but that would take practice and a lot of fucking ups and many would just lightly sand the surface before painting anyway. Really good nipper may even enable you to cut so cleanly you don't even have to do that, or even to do anything afterward. There are still tricky surfaces you have no choice but to shave and sand, and nipper will get duller with repeated use (it will service you for years though), so yeah not a silver bullet, but definitely the best value to invest in early on.
