OP, most in US have mixed feelings on Ukraine-Russia as both were viewed as allies and helping big-time in War on Terror. It's like UK vs. Argentina on drugs, and really has screwed up US offensive against Islamo-extremists. Also, Putin is basically annihilating Russian Whites--Americans won't say that, but the Rodina is last reserve of Whites left along with Ukraine. Plus Russian/Ukrainian immigrants here HATE Putin for that reason plus don't like what appears to be his neo-communism nationalizing everything very much--and thus remind Americans constantly the silly United Russia Party always threatening to seize Alaska conquer USA with China (which just announced US is historically Chinese).

Then again, Putin looks like unreliable Dobby versus popular Ukrainians in US who are all famous actresses. If forced to choose, average US joe who doesn't follow politics will go with pretty actress.

In your favor Washington State cities (countryside is different) are filled with pro-communists who think Putin is secretly bringing Stalinism back and will help them conquer the USA.
