That's just weird to me, Abrams is a demon and looks like it, size, proportions, coloration, you name it. He even got a cute tail and a custom-made coat to account for this.
Fern is just a black guy with glowy tattoos and that's about it. Even fire magic isn't too big of a deal, a mobster can use telekinesis and teleportation with no demon ancestry whatsoever. Is that because he was born and raised in NY, so his demon features didn't manifest, or he is he supposed to be a half-breed? Or is Abrams just made different?
