Depends on the image size and resolution you have and how much information you want on the page. In general though you shouldn't stray too far from standard portrait or landscape sizes unless you absolutely need to.
Take my Monster Hunter Rise jump for example. I made that one around 11x6 in size, and did so specifically because I wanted the jump to look just like the mission-select menu from the game. Foster's Home likewise was 8.5x8 since I wanted to emulate the windows from the show's Opening. Meanwhile with Helltaker I experimented and used different dimensions for different pages to try and emulate the game's UI in different ways.
In short, there;s no singularly good size to work with, instead you should pick somehting with dimensions that match the images you're trying to work with, while still maintaining good font retention.
