So it turns out life as a washed up tabloid reporter isn’t fun. You do a few stories about alien abductions and such and suddenly people think you are a Kook. The little shitty paper I wrote for got word of a story about some killer video tape and that’s how I stumbled upon the mess with Sadako.
The part of me that had been that washed up reporter swore to herself “This time, I will prove that weird shit happens and people will stop laughing at me.”
I knew I shouldn’t give a shit. Who cares about reputation when you can do all sorts of crazy things yourself but that little part of me that existed before I woke up in this jump wouldn’t let it be. It sought vindication.
It was hard to get people to talk when they think you are a nutjob out for a story. Still somehow I managed to follow the trail of breadcrumbs putting together the tragic story of Sadako. The girl who was slightly inhuman and was murdered by her “Father”. I had known the story but somehow putting the pieces together made it more real and more heart breaking.
Somehow during all of that even that little part that wanted some recognition came to accept some stories shouldn’t be shared. Instead I set about ending the curse. It took a bit of luck. I found the Video Tape, My companions and I found the body and we gave it a proper burial. Then I knew I had to do a bit more. Thankfully my Artificer arts would provide the machine we needed to help Sadako. Alone I watched the tape, much to the complaints of my companions. However it wasn’t hard to convince them there was a soul in need.

We rented a house with a pool. Set up the connections, the TV, and waited for the appointed night. The waiting was hard, I was sure I had done everything right but for something like this there is always a little doubt. Eventually the tv turned itself on and there was static, then the picture of the well, then the woman with long hair approaching the camera and slowly she began to climb out in to the real world.
Things then got trippy as machines whirred to life, electricity crackled along cables and the air grew heavy with magic and tension.
I saw Ami starting to struggle with the chains holding her in place, thankfully Athena and Clara stood fast. I wasn’t honestly sure the measures I had taken to contain them would actually work. Eventually and unceremoniosly Sadako actually stumbled out of the Television set looking around confuses.
I moved up and greeted her. I tried to calm her down and offer her a new chance at existing as something other than an angry spirit doomed to kill people. At first I wasn’t sure if she was listening or readying to attack me but eventually she settled down. I asked her if she wanted to travel with us and she agreed. That’s how we broke the curse of girl in the well.

Unironically sounds fun as fuck.

Pretty fun combo here. I took the Oni capstones from Tsukihime which makes me faster than sound, resistant to magic and mystery, and capable of destroying trees with a swipe of my hands; I also took the perk that makes Earth and the animals on it love me + the other perk that makes it so I always have a childlike wonder that can never be extinguished.
Witch on the Holy Night gives me the Third Magic, which is infinite mana and Immortality.
Fate/Legends Avalon gives me the Sword of Promised Victory + Lancelot's martials skills which means I can now beat an army barehanded or fight a dragon to death solo.
Fate/Stay Night gives me a reality marble + avalon for a healing factor.
And Avatar gave me Airbending, stealth skills, acrobatic skills on par with Ty Lee.

With that setup, I'm pretty sure my jumper could solo most settings he comes across. Nothing absurd like DC or Marvel of course. But for everything else, my Jumper is already pretty top tier. His only real weakness is his speed which caps out at the speed of sound with his current build

Tbqh Nasu wank has reached the point where if you play your cards right, you have a chance. In the sense that Dr. Doom has a chance. You can’t beat the top tiers on pure powerlevels, but depending on your build (read: Brunestud, a True Magic, Worthy, Darkness or Mind of God-pick two, preferably 3) you could potentially pull off something like Dr. Doom stealing the Beyonders’ powers or Batkek using a combination of plot armour and sheer genius/insanity to destroy the multiverse by targeting it’s weak points.

Well, at least I get a massive power level for free in the first one but this is going to get dangerous and unpleasant anyway.

So! Jumpers become a JRPG healer. I suppose it was bound to happen eventually. Though this is a little bit of a unfortunate world to be a priest in with some of the implications. Mostly because the Almighty/God stand in kind of hates humanity and was only stopped from killing them all by his daughter. So Jumpers basically going to join the Main character in killing NotSatan! to save the world. And afterwards I'm... not sure. Aside from delving into the dungeons post game. Maybe he'll travel the world and try to get people to worship the Goddess/Almighty's daughter more given she was kind of entirely neglected by humanity theologically before she's revealed in the late game plot. Though If that happens I wonder if that wouldn't just essentially be jumper creating Fantasy Christianity.

On other notes, MP miser is really good for a mage. Only needing to use half your mana on spells is useful as hell and I wonder if it could apply to non Dragon Quest magic. The Observatory is interesting might become relevant later but for now Jumpers gonna treat the sky castle staffed by angels sort of like his spaceship from star trek. Keep it out of the way for the most part because its not really relevant to day to day life. Maybe put it high above Koridai like the islands version of Skyloft. Give the people there some guardian angels.

They'd all be decent first builds except for the Movie when practically the only thing you care about there is seducing Princess Peach and the only thing you've got in your build is being an apparently attractive platforming giant koopa which might be a struggle to endear to Peach while fighting Bowser.
The Sailor Moon fanfic jump is there just for manga Usagi, as three of the four companions in the build is Tsukino Usagi, Princess Serenity, and Neo-Queen Serenity and the last one is Chibiusa.

I think that's sorta a bit of correlation and causation due to pallid/white-like characters in anime also tending to be among the more powerful and confident as well as/or aggressive ones. It's the combination of swagger, machismo and focused conviction to drop lines like "throughout heaven and earth, I alone am the honoured one" with a perfectly straight face. The tone of, say, Mahoraga's skin is less important than the fact that he can just fucking stride through Shrine like he's a male model on a catwalk.

Even compared to something like, say, Naruto I think JJK is particularly resonant BECAUSE of how shallow it is. Since the show just focuses on fight scenes, most of it's memorable moments are people being hypercompetent in unfair fight situations. Which is fucking fantastic for a casual viewer who wants to see people throw hands in perfect tandem and high-five afterwards.

So this Jumps going be a real test of patience. Of Jumper for one reason or another keep getting looped back to the bar. He's just gonna try and enjoy some of the good bits of modern life since its just a little bit rare for him to be back on a normal modern earth but the gang keeps ending up. He plans a trip to disney world only to get harassed into taking them along for example. A whole road trip to florida in a van with these bastards. Maybe ending up having to cast zing/Resurrect on Frank if he has a heart attack another time. Just a lot of shenanigans with the gang taking advantage of Jumper a bit only for it to backfire on them. So have another build. This is a good jump to pick up/Break into Fates magecraft a bit. Onmyouji is a good base to start building on. And divine Guidance and Beatification is a few good steps along the "Holy" track that Jumpers sorta progressed down since Dragon Quest. So thats nice. Primitive body's very good to avoid being a purely squishy healer.

My Anchin's gonna be a little funny to have come up when/if he eventually ends up back in gensokyo.

Like Jump 2-3. The big issue for me is avoiding light speed movement, planet busting, and reality warping perks. Because a shocking amount of jumps offer those for incredibly cheap prices. I personally don't like to take them because they're hard to write around for the stories I like to tell. (I like to have my jumper actually struggle and fight to change the plot, not just solo everything in 5 seconds)

Not really, but your reasoning is a bit off. They're still made of tougher material than your skull, and since they're a plate, they'll distribute the force over a wider area, making it less likely to kill you. There may even be a bit of padding in the headband itself. It's kind of like asking if helmets are useful and the same "if you take a hit to the head strong enough to crack your skull" logic applies to them as well. You wear helmets because they significantly increase the criteria of "strong enough to crack your skull". Anyway, forehead protectors aren't useless for protection because of that but because their coverage is so light, and it's kind of silly to wear protection for your forehead specifically but leave the rest of your head and face vulnerable. If your forehead is at risk of being hit, it only takes a twitch or gust of wind for it to hit some other part of your head.

The entire point of the universe is that it's enormous and has a lot of wacky stuff in it, but the Jump itself basically tells you "you're that one weird kid tagging along and sometimes handing the doctor a screwdriver, have fun"

Depends on the image size and resolution you have and how much information you want on the page. In general though you shouldn't stray too far from standard portrait or landscape sizes unless you absolutely need to.
Take my Monster Hunter Rise jump for example. I made that one around 11x6 in size, and did so specifically because I wanted the jump to look just like the mission-select menu from the game. Foster's Home likewise was 8.5x8 since I wanted to emulate the windows from the show's Opening. Meanwhile with Helltaker I experimented and used different dimensions for different pages to try and emulate the game's UI in different ways.
In short, there;s no singularly good size to work with, instead you should pick somehting with dimensions that match the images you're trying to work with, while still maintaining good font retention.

It’s funny but bringing a new companion along kind of lets you see things through new eyes. Sadako was elated to be alive again and in awe of our new surroundings. Everything was new to her again. I think maybe it did a lot of good for her. We traveled around did adventures and even befriended a lonely girl who, seemed to lack any real friends.

A few years in we came across a familiar Fallen Goddess. Apparently her party had gotten sick of her and she was looking for someone to take her in. I guess I have always been weak to strays because I took pity on the Goddess. She wasn’t good for much, she caused far more problems than she solved but Still I felt bad for her, her original party didn’t want her back, She couldn’t find a way back to heaven, she was stuck and alone.

I used my Artificer abilities to forge some Intelligence enhancement gear for Aqua. I won’t see she wound up brilliant, She still managed to get in to trouble a lot it’s just she got better at dragging us in to it with her and sometimes helping to get out of it.

When it came time to go I was surprised to find both Yunyun and Aqua were allowed to come along.

Well Konosuba went well enough. Lets see what fate has in store next for my Jumper.
