Think about it - before the age of the internet, there was someone in Leipzig (acktually a half-Italian, quarter-French and quarter-German) that collected newspapers from all over the world, collected scores, created rankings, and published them - and he was expelled because of that and settled in West Germany.
So yeah, you can trust their raw numbers (top goalscorers etc.), but the other Best rankings are a little dubious (as always - how do you rank defenders?).
