I really do like that SotM retains the whole supernatural aspect of the series that Security Breach threw away for AI.
Like, it feels like Steel Wool GOT that part of the series' appeal is having apparitions that could be explained away by plausible deniability.
>In the first game Phone Guy explains that the robots are just following their faulty programming until you read the notes that imply they're possessed
>In the second game the Toys are explained away the seame
>In Sister Location you can chalk the robots being murderous up to them being made by William fucking Afton
SotM retains this since for the most part you just think it's the Mimic, a rogue AI, trying to kill you, until you get to the basement and realize he's NOT the only malicious entity there since the Tiger (David's ghost) and the Moon (whatever he is) are both 100% supernatural forces that aren't the Mimic. Even beforehand there's that Elephant head that lights up like the FNAF 3 bad ending screen without any explanation.
I hope the next game keeps that balance since Security Breach dropped the ball hard on it.
