Gray for sure was in love with a certain person, so she is for sure lesbian or bi. The thing with Johann doesn't count since that was more like 'you scratch my back I'll scratch yours' thing. Her dates with guys could imply she's bi at least. I don't know. The only impactful thing was that Gray loved a certain person which gave context to why she made decisions in the story and why she held a relationship so special. I am being vague to avoid spoiling.
