Nevermind the DPRK is still going strong as we speak with a full command economy and despite having a population of 15 million people, barely any arable land and near total embargo projects military power globally and independently developed nuclear weapons and produces everything it needs itself for its people.

China also still has massive sectors of its economy under state control and private property doesn’t even legally exist, it’s all just contracts with the government that can be terminated at any time.
