You're not wrong but I was sort of meaning people on the street not necessarily governments. You're right about Arab governments. Most Arab governments are total dictatorships in cahoots with Israel and there's a lot of people on the street who both hate their governments and Israel. Egypt has tens of thousands of political prisoners sitting in jail and the government assassinates / disappears people they don't like. I'd reckon your average Egyptian guy would say he hates Israel more than Iran. It's somewhat different in Iran where a lot of people hate the government and don't give a fuck about Palestine because it's something pushed on them by the government.

Being anti-Israel in Western countries is tied up in being anti-establishment, because establishment people like Israel, and young people tend to be more attracted to left-wing politics, and also they don't have any money and the rent is too high. There are people who have longstanding reasons to beef with Israel, but a lot of people don't know much about the conflict. Like this whole beef with the left and Biden over Israel last year, and how they weren't going to vote for Genocide Joe, is not necessarily ~about~ Israel, that is a vessel for the leftists to beef with Biden and the old guard Democrats. A lot of pro-Israel people have a defensive mindset and haven't figured this out yet.

People think antisemitism is like racism (and people are taught this) but it's not. It's more of a mindset that people choose, to find a scapegoat, so as to avoid responsibility. The people who say "the Jews brought the immigrants here" are not fundamentally different from thirdies in Muslim countries who blame the "Zionists" for why they're poor:

That's ^ what it is. It doesn't solve the problem, it's a way to avoid it. It's impossible to reason with people who believe this. There's a lot of psychological projection involved too.
