Yeah the square is full of live music venues for tourists, especially the Irish places (don't go to Bulldog though, Bull Bar/Ronnie Drews is nicer and is actually Irish-owned not Polish/Ukrainian. Banialuka is a great place for quality cheap pints, if you want to stand next to a sticky table then Pijalnia is fine, people call it the Polish Spoons but it's nothing like Spoons. There's a place called "Free Pub" that's also cheap and a bit of a dive, but it's pretty fun. Local alkies go there a lot so you know it's legitimate. Beer prices sadly went up a lot over the last few years.
There's also a place called "Stay Port" (old port) that has a nautical theme. It was popular with sailor types and they play sea shanties. It's really nice and quite cheap but the toilets stink of old shite.
There's a nice riverside bar called Hala Forum that's also nice in the warmer months.
If you like beer you can't suffer here, although my favourite brewery shut down at the start of the year.
