Hope you guys don't mind if I post another delayed reply... to the last thread.

Adding to this: I already knew about the Crimson Passion/Indigo Wisdom manga, another manga he made an appearance in, but only bought it last month.
This one's pretty light-hearted and short, so this Maxie is way less nuanced and for some reason he adjusts his glasses a lot, which gives him a nerdier vibe. But I still enjoyed it. I like that it's entirely about the Groudon/Kyogre storyline so there's a lot of focus on him.
Sometimes the art gets a bit wonky, but the good panels more than make up for it. Maxie looks adorable most of the time. By far his most moe appearance in official media so far.

>Maxie and Archie had their personalities switched in Pokespe.
Sounds hilarious. I bet it's even funnier and more jarring in the ORAS arc with the redesigns. Funnily enough, I'd been thinking that maybe OG Maxie's design had a yakuza-ish vibe.
>I think Maxie, Archie and Norman are well written characters in pokespe
This really makes me wanna read it. I might end up liking PokéSpe Maxie, though not in a husbando way. (Unless he's so cool and badass that I can't resist.)
>Viz didn’t translate those nuances
Actually, I bought one of the volumes of the R&S arc in my language. This is all very interesting so I'll read both English translations and compare with ours.

>Depends on what Maxie meant by human progress.
I thought, since he loves lecturing people and might want to pass on his "greatness" or something, he might also want to pass down his genes. However, he can still share his knowledge and wisdom with people who aren't his biological children. Perhaps he wouldn't be obsessed with procreating, and if he's concerned about overpopulation, it's even less likely. Though of course I still need him to shoot his hot load inside me.
