31 is here.
I played Undertale years ago on release once, but I'm roughly aware of what happens in the other routes.
Deltarune initially caught my attention with memes about the doe rape thing—I couldn’t believe they’d actually put something like that in the game—but eventually, the meta-narrative and player agency in the Weird Route hooked me.
I’ve been gaming for a long time, and moments like the vent teleportation or the couch conversation are rare in games. It’s not often you get to feel like a chthonic, eldritch horror to the game’s characters just by revealing your presence as the player.
I don’t know what’s coming next, but for now, I’m interested on this theme and the meta-level interaction between the player and the characters.
Overall, the game feels intriguing to me.

They clearly still like each other but trauma drives them apart
Nothing like a bigger trauma to make them bond over
