I would like to wisely point out that it is not worth arguing with people who defend the gameplay of FF7Rebirth in this thread.
Those are people who only finished FF7R in normal mode, where you don't actually engage with the gameplay, because you can just win by doing whatever and spamming base attacks and base skills with no regards to strategy. They literally used 5% of the mechanics, go boom boom boom on the enemy, and feel happy about their win.
But anyone who has attempted the hardest challenges of FF7R where you actually HAVE to engage with every gameplay mechanics in order to win (materia selection, parry, dodge, special character skills, ATB management, MP management, character positioning, summoning, etc.) knows that the gameplay of that game is frustrating and the opposite of having a good time.
