God, OG Aikatsu is so good. If you aren't sold by around episode 12 then it's probably not for you, but hell, if you're into the slice of life-y elements of Precure then I think you'll enjoy yourself here. It might look like "oh fuck, 178 episodes" but for some of us, it's "dang, only 178 episodes..." Fabulous show.
